By completing an online event booking or completing the booking form you are indicating you wish to attend a Local Government Association (LGA) conference. Confirmation and joining instructions will be emailed to delegates periodically after booking. If there is limited or no availability, you will be advised within two working days that you have been placed on a waiting list. Bookings will be invoiced from April 2012 or on receipt of payment, if made prior to April 2012. All bookings must be received in writing. Unfortunately we are unable to accept provisional or telephone bookings.
It is not possible to return fees if notification of cancellation is received after 29 May 2012. If cancellations are received after this date, organisations will be invoiced for, and required to pay, the full fee. Any bookings received after 29 May 2012 and subsequently cancelled will be subject to the full conference fee. Substitute delegates are welcome. Please note that name changes/cancellations etc must be received in writing by fax, email or post. Conference fees cannot be refunded due to delegate last minute illness or any changes to personal circumstances. Bookings received and subsequently cancelled after these dates, or bookings for delegates who do not attend on the day will still be payable in full, whatever the circumstances, for example:
- changes to delegate’s personal circumstances
- inclement weather
- transport delays
- any other reasons outside the LGA’s control.
Substitute delegates are welcome. If possible, please advise name changes in advance. Substitute delegates must be received in writing via email or fax.
Purchase order numbers
Purchase order numbers must be provided with booking forms. Bookings will not be processed until a valid purchase order number has been supplied.
Invoicing will generally reflect the delegate who attended the conference, unless a name change is received after invoicing. The LGA expects invoices to be paid as per the original delegate booking. Payment must be received within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
Note: it may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of the LGA to change the content, timing, speakers or the venue for this conference. Please be advised that the LGA cannot be held responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred should a conference be postponed or cancelled.
